Tv And Film Actress Rita Bhaduri Passes Away At 62 From Kidney Ailment

Virtuoso actress Rita Bhaduri who was a part of popular TV shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Choti Bahu, Kumkum, Khichdi and many others died on Tuesday morning. Rita Bhaduri was 62-years-old. Despite surfing from a kidney ailment, the actor didn't stop working and was a part of Star Bharat's show Nimki Mukhiya. She played the role of a grandmother in the show.

The news of her demise was shared by actor Shishir Sharma who worked with the late actor in popular TV show Kumkum.  He wrote, "We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma.”

"She died at around 1.30 a.m. and her family members took her body from the hospital at around 4 a.m.," said IANS. 

In 1997, Rita appeared on Sony Tv's Soap opera 'Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai'.

In the 1970's Rita entered Bollywood as a supporting actor and was lauded for her work. She was even nominated for Filmfare for the Best Supporting Actor for her role in Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor starrer Raja. She has also shared screen space with the natty Nawab Saif Ali Khan in Ashiq Awara (1993).

The television industry is mourning the death of the veteran actress. Anup Soni, Vivek Dahiya and Sahil Sand took to their twitter handles and expressed their grief over the loss of a great actor.
