Despite being showered by praises for the perfect enactment of Sanjay Dutt's controversial life, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer 'Sanju' has landed in a soup because of a particular toilet leakage scene in the film's trailer which has offended an activist who has filed a complaint against the biopic.

The complaint filed with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) by Prithvi Mhaske raises an objection on the "toilet leakage scene in the barrack of jail picturised in the movie," in the letter addressed to Censor Board chief Prasoon Joshi and Sanju makers.

"This particular scene will make a bad impression about the jails and jails authorities of Indians," Mhasake complaint while talking about the scene from Sanju trailer when Sanjay Dutt was in such a barrack of a jail in which the toilet overflowed.

"As per the information available, the government and jail authorities are taking very well care of all the barracks of the jails. We never heard any such incidents anywhere. Earlier as well many movies were released based on the gangsters wherein the jails were covered but never had seen such incidents," Mhasake further added.

Seeking a proper action from the CBFC, the complainant threatened, "If there is no action about the same by you then we are left with no option to approach the honourable court to put stay on the release of the movie."

Going by trailer, the scene in question appears to be from the time when Sanjay Dutt spent 18 months in jail in connection with the 1993 Bombay blast case during the trial. He was later convicted for the illegal possession of weapons by the Supreme Court in 2013 after which he spent five years in Pune's Yerwada Jail.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju stars Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt while moving around various phases of the controversial actor's life. The film releasing on June 29 also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Vicky Kaushal.
