Taapsee Pannu has never shied away from accepting challenges and always taken pride in performing the significant characters. Be it the fearless Shabana of Akshay Kumar's 'Baby' or the witty Samara of 'Judwaa 2', the versatile actress has given her best for each role and same goes for her upcoming film opposite Diljit Dosanjh titled 'Soorma'.

Clad in Indian jersey, Taapsee shared a picture from the sets of star Hockey player Sandeep Singh's biopic but it is the caption which won over the viewers. Her wish of becoming a Hockey player instead of an actor is what left her fans in awe. She captioned the intriguing picture, "Only if I wasn’t an actor....... (sic) #Soorma #LoveForSports #IndianJersey".

Standing in a hockey field, the back of the actress is facing the camera, bringing her character name 'Harpreet' to full display. Decked up in sports gear, Taapsee is looking like a true hockey player, for which, she along with the lead actor Diljit Dosanjh underwent extensive training before they commenced film's shoot.

'Soorma' explores a particular chapter of Sandeep Singh's life corresponding to the near-fatal incident in 2006 which left him in wheel-chair. Among the many instances, the makers have chosen the most heart-touching yet inspirational incident of the player's life to present in front of the audience.

However, his determination and will to play for the country got him back on his two feet. Passing all the fitness tests, Sandeep joined the team back.

The inspiring tale also has Angad Bedi and Chitrangda Singh in relevant roles. Scheduled to hit the theatres on June 29, 2018, 'Soorma' is helmed by Shaad Ali.
