Sunny Leone Starts Shooting For Her Tamil Debut Veermadevi

Shooting of Veermadevi, a period drama featuring Sunny Leone in her first Tamil debut started rolling in Chennai on Wednesday.

Sunny's debut Tamil project is set to release in five languages- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The movie will see Leone essay the titular role of a warrior princess who lived in the south decades ago.

The film is expected to be a big budget film. In preparation for the role, Sunny has trained in sword fighting and horse-riding for the war portions. The actress has dedicated 150 days call sheet for this ambitious project. A special trainer from Mumbai has worked closely with Leone to prepare her for the character. A picture of the actress on Twitter with the director from the first day of the shoot is making rounds on social media.

Veermadevi is touted to be a historical drama, and the makers will be extensively using VFX effects, according to the reports.

Quoting her from a previous interview, the report said how she has always liked doing action sequences. “I was waiting for a script like this for a long time. I started preparing for this movie from the minute director VC Vadivudayan narrated the story. I have a special love towards south India.”
