'Star Trek' Actor Olaf Pooley Dies At 101

British actor and writer Olaf Pooley, best known for his roles in “Star Trek” and “Doctor Who”, is dead. He was 101. Pooley's death was confirmed by a family spokeswoman after the star died from congestive heart failure on July 14 here, reports dailymail.co.uk. Pooley was most famous for his role as villainous scientist Professor Stahlman in “Doctor Who”, in which he starred during the 1970s. ALSO READ: ‘Star Trek 3′ Starts Filming In Canada Pooley was also known for a stint on cult series “Star Trek: Voyager”, in which he played the Cleric in the 2000 episode “Blink of an Eye”, which was directed by his then-wife, Gabrielle Beaumont. Pooley also appeared in films like “The Lost People”, “Highly Dangerous”, “The Iron Petticoat” and “The Password Is Courage”. He moved to the US in the 1980s and had guest-starring roles on TV shows such as “Scarecrow” and “L.A. Law”. Pooley is survived by his son and daughter, and four grandchildren.
