The controversial vintage drama 'Padmaavat' will have a special screening for a jury of four members in Jodhpur according to an order from the High Court of Rajasthan on Monday. A petition by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was recently filed to cancel an FIR against him and the actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh at the Deedwana Police Station which was filed in March 2017.

For precautionary perspective, the film will be screened under strict security measures at the Inox Mall at 8:00 pm for the Justice Sandeep Mehta, according to the Indian Express report. Theatre owners have received instructions to ensure only one screening for the team.

The court’s order for the special screening came just after the two petitioners, Virendra Singh and Nagpal Singh, filed an FIR claiming that the film distorted "historical facts" and "hurt the image of Rani Padmini". Justice Mehta announced the screening of the movie stating that "This court is of the firm opinion that the screening of the movie is essential for securing the ends of justice."

More than a hundred policemen will be deployed in and around the cinema to monitor the law and order and to ensure clear screening of the most controversial movie.
