Shah Rukh Khan Honoured In Davos With Crystal Award At World Economic Forum 2018

Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan on Monday received the Crystal Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos by Hilde Schwab, Chairwomen and co-founder of the WeF’s World Arts Forum in the annual ceremony. The awards honour the achievements of supreme artists who are role models for all leaders of society.

At Davos, the SRK recreated a moment and transported us to the 90’s by posting his famous signature pose of opened arms on Twitter. Parts of his hit film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ was filmed at Zurich, Switzerland. 

SRK snapped a photo around the snow mountains and captioned it as, "Switzerland mai aake yeh na Kiya toh Kya Kiya….?" On the photo SRK wrote “Loving being at the Davos, now to get ready for the Crystal Award Ceremony. #DavosDiaries.

Shah Rukh received the award along with Hollywood stars Elton John and Cate Blanchett. On Twitter, he said,” Honoured to receive the @wef’s 24th Crystal Award, together with @eltonofficial and Cate Blanchett. My fan moment!!”

WEF Forum said,”SRK received the crystal award for his leadership in campaigning children’s and women rights in India.”

Earlier the award has been given to others from the Bollywood fraternity like Amitabh Bachchan, AR Rahman and Shabana Azmi etc.
