Bollywood's livewire Ranveer Singh has three films lined up for release in  2018-19 including Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, Rohit Shetty's Simmba and Kabir Khan’s ’83 based on the life of Kapil Dev. Apart from these ones, the actor might be a part of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's next.

The noted filmmaker has reportedly two projects in the pipeline, one sports film revolving around Kabaddi and another about father-son relationship. While it is not clear which of the two films the 'Padmaavat' actor has signed, a source revealed that he had a meeting with the director.

"Ranveer and Rakeysh met and discussed working together. The filmmaker has bounced off the ideas to Ranveer, but nothing has been locked yet. They are going to have a few more meetings before they zero in on the film," a source told a leading daily.

A few days back, Ranveer was photographed with Rakesh Omprakash Mehra outside the director's office, igniting speculations of their supposed collaboration. Both the actor and the filmmaker are known for living up to audience expectations with their work and their joint venture might turn out to be another gem.

Ranveer recently wrapped up the shoot for Gully Boy and is working hard to beef up for his role in Simmba. While Ranveer was last seen in the controversy-laden period drama 'Padmaavat' helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rakeysh's last directorial 'Mirzya' did average business on box-office.

A saddening news about Ranveer's grandmother's demise recently broke out. While more details are yet to be unveiled, she is reported to be unwell for a long time. The actor shared a close bond with his grandmother and is heart-broken with his demise. He has cancelled a scheduled public appearance to be with the family.
