Ranveer, Sara Starrer 'Simmba' Roars On Day 2, Expected To Cross 50 Crores At Box Office

Singham franchise 'Simmba' starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan is ruling over the hearts of the audience. The film has managed to collect a total of Rs 44.25 crore and expected to cross Rs. 50 crores after the first weekend.

Simmba has been one of the most anticipated movies of this year and had very well managed to draw the audience to the screens.

The Rohit Shetty directorial witnessed a massive opening of Rs. 20.72 crores on its very first day.

'Simmba' has also registered itself as the biggest Ranveer Singh opening film ever, beating 'Padmaavat' as Padmaavat's opening day collection was Rs. 19 crores.

Speaking about the Day 1 performance of Simmba, Ranveer Singh said in a statement, “It is an incredibly humbling moment for me. As an artist, I have always tried to experiment, and I am happy that my content choices are being loved by audiences who want to see me break my mould every single time I come on screen.”

BoxofficeIndia.com reported, the film has managed to collect Rs 23.75 crore on its second day at the box office. The film has shown an upturn in business on day two of around 15% from the previous day.

Ranveer plays a corrupt cop who lives an unethical way of life. Soon an incident happens in his life which transforms him and makes him choose the righteous path. Sara plays his love interest in the film.

Simmba, upon its release on December 28, received a mixed response from film critics. The audience, however, lapped it up and its sparkling box-office performance is proof of that.
