We often come star kids enjoying page 3 parties and follow their parent's footsteps by joining Bollywood but hardly we see teenager star kids competing in sports events and winning medals for India. Well, that trend might soon be changing, thanks to R Madhavan’s 12-year-old son.

Making his father and the nation proud, Vedaant Madhavan won a bronze medal for India in the 1500-meter freestyle at the Thailand Age Group Swimming Championship 2018. Much like his parents, the young swimming enthusiast seems determined to achieve his dreams with determination and hard work.

Sharing the special news with his fans, proud daddy R Madhavan posted two pictures of his son and wrote, "Proud moment for Sarita (his wife) and I, as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand today. Thank you for all your blessings."

In the picture, a happy Vedaant is holding the medal and certificate with the backdrop of a stadium. Attached along is a video of the young talent being honoured with the medal. R Madhavan recently made news for backing out of Rohit Shetty's much-awaited 'Simmba' due to his shoulder injury.

The actor was last seen in Tamil film 'Vikram Vedha' and also garnered appreciation for his web-series 'Breathe'. Adi Tomar’s bi-lingual directorial Saala Kahdoos marked his last Bollywood outing. He is most remembered for his roles in Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein, 3 Idiots among others.
