As United Nations Children's Fund's (UNICEF) Goodwill Ambassador, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been making occasional field visits to bring the pain and vulnerability faced by the uprooted children from around the world to potentially helpful masses.

After connecting with the little refugees from Syria, the 'Quantico' star visited Kutupalong, a refugee camp in Cox's Bazar (Bangladesh), arguably one of the largest refugee camps in the world on Monday. Clad in a UNICEF T-shirt and a scarf covering her head, she interacted with the children.

Despite sporting a bright smile on their faces, Priyanka was able to see the "vacancy in their eyes". Urging the readers to help the children who are at the "forefront of the humanitarian crisis", she posted a lengthy Instagram post adding, "The world needs to care. We need to care. These kids are our future."

I’m in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh today for a field visit with UNICEF, to one of the largest refugee camps in the world. In the second half of 2017, the world saw horrific images of ethnic cleansing from the Rakhine State of Myanmar(Burma). This violence drove nearly 700,000 Rohingya across the border into Bangladesh - 60% are children! Many months later they are still highly vulnerable, living in overcrowded camps with no idea when or where they will ever belong...even worse, when they will get their next meal. AND...as they finally start to settle and feel a sense of safety, monsoon season looms...threatening to destroy all that they’ve built so far. This is an entire generation of children that have no future in sight. Through their smiles I could see the vacancy in their eyes. These children are at the forefront of this humanitarian crisis, and they desperately need our help. The world needs to care. We need to care. These kids are our future. However, she also notes, "This is an entire generation of children that have no future in sight"

The actress spent around an hour with the children at Shamlapur Rohingya camp under Baharchhara union in Teknaf before visiting a UNICEF-run clinic. Talking about their well-being and vaccination, Priyanka asked the Rohingya children if they were willing to return to Myanmar.
