Actor Priyanka Chopra made a big revelation on Tuesday stating that she will be playing late spiritual leader Osho’s disciple, Ma Anand Sheela, in a film, which will be helmed by Oscar-winning director, Barry Levinson (Rain Man).

Priyanka who was recently a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show for the promotion of her upcoming Hollywood movie, Isn’t It Romantic, was asked to reveal about her next project.

She told Ellen that while her project with Chris Pratt, Cowboy Ninja Viking is shelved temporarily, she has a biopic of Ma Anand Sheela in her kitty.

Ma Anand Sheela was like a right hand to the controversial cult leader, Osho. The film will be narrated from her point of view and how she, as a devious leader created a cult in America.

After a series of altercations with the locals, which ended with the mass poisoning of a town, she was convicted of multiple attempted murders and now lives in Switzerland.

Osho himself accused Sheela of arson, wiretapping, attempted murder, and mass poisoning after she fled from the commune.

Talking about the project she said, "I am developing a feature with Barry Levinson. He is an iconic American director. We are developing it (from the perspective of) Sheela who is this guru who originated from India.”

Netflix’s hit documentary 'Wild Wild Country' was also based on Osho’s community, Rajneeshpuram, which was run by Ma Anand Sheela in Oregon, United States.
