Global sensation Priyanka Chopra has been maintaining eerie silence over the entire Nirav Modi fiasco but the actress has now confirmed the speculations of terminating her contract as the brand ambassador of Nirav Modi jewels.

Bringing her long-time business relations with Nirav Modi to end, Priyanka Chopra's spokesperson confirmed, "In the light of recent allegations, Priyanka Chopra has chosen to terminate her contract with the Nirav Modi brand."

Apart from Priyanka, Sidharth  Malhotra is also the brand ambassador of the brand owned by Nirav Modi, who has been charged for an alleged Rs 11,400 crore fraud on Punjab National Bank through illegal use of Letters of Undertaking to secure overseas credit from other Indian lenders.

However, Sidharth's contract with the celebrity jeweller's luxury product line has ended before the case caught public eye and the actress has also ended her relations with the brand now. Although the actress has denied taking any other legal action against the jeweller.

Earlier, many speculations regarding Priyanka Chopra suing Nirav Modi for non-payment of dues were making rounds but her spokesperson has denied any such development. The rumour "is not true," her representative said.

She further confirmed that Priyanka "is currently seeking legal opinion with respect to terminating her contract with the brand in light of allegations of financial fraud against Nirav Modi."

The speculations about the actress suing the jeweller started after Kangana Ranaut and Bipasha Basu accused Gitanjali Group, owned by Mehul Choksi - Nirav Modi's uncle - of breaching the contract and not paying their dues.

Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi have reportedly flown away from India but the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are investigating the jeweller for the multi-crore fraud.
