There was buzz all around for Rajinikanth's next venture “Petta” and the makers of the movie finally released the trailer of the same on Friday.

The trailer gave enough reason for the fans to not miss watching the megastar Rajinikanth film. It gave the audience a sense of nostalgia. It was all about Rajinikanth's 'one-man show' all through the trailer.

Filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj shared the trailer with the fans through his Twitter account and wrote:

The trailer introduced us to college life in what looked like a hill station. Petta had been shot in North India in Uttarakhand.

Rajinikanth played the role of a hostel warden in the film but he also seemed to be a person, who had left his past life behind. However, things go murky and Rajinikanth showed his badass avatar.

The movie also had a stellar supporting cast that included Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vijay Sethupathi as antagonists, Simran as the female lead and Bobby Simha and Sasikumar as friends.

There’s Trisha in the film too as a female lead but she was not in the trailer. Rajinikanth is looking fresh and his chemistry with Simran is pleasing for the eyes.
