Ever since allegations of sexual harassment against Hollywood's movie mogul, Harvey Weinstein became public, many popular names came forward to talk about their own exploitation experiences without any more inhibitions.

Another name added to the list when the 'Star Trek: Discovery' star Anthony Rapp recently shared his traumatic experience with Kevin Spacey who made sexual advances towards a 14-year-old Anthony more than 3 decades back.

Following the actor's interview, Kevin on Monday apologised for his "deeply inappropriate drunken behaviour" towards the then teenager in a Twitter post. Further adding to his statement, he admitted to not remembering anything from the mentioned night.

Although, his confirmation of being gay overshadowed his apology in more ways than one, the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is in no mood to let the matter go. In a Twitter post, the board announced that 58-year-old actor will not be honoured with the 2017 Emmy Founders Award.

The academy earlier has revoked Harvey Weinstein's membership after discussing the matter of accusations of sexual harassment and rape against him in an emergency session. Considered as the world’s top movie organization, the board expelled the producer from further contributions.

The 'House of Cards' actor recently received another shock of his life when the news of his long-running show and Emmy-nominated political drama going off-air soon became public. The online streaming site Netflix announced that the upcoming sixth season of the show will conclude the series.

Reportedly, Netflix and House of Cards production company Media Rights Capital are "deeply troubled" by the allegations made by Rapp against Spacey and issued a joint statement conveying the same.

The statement read, "In response to last night's revelations, executives from both of our companies arrived in Baltimore this afternoon to meet with our cast and crew to ensure that they continue to feel safe and supported."

In an interview with Buzzfeed, Rapp has accused Spacey of unwelcome advances when the latter invited him to a party in 1986. The two were reportedly working on a Broadway together then.
