Only MAD Becomes Famous? New 'Padman' Poster Defines Akshay Kumar's Love For Craziness

Bollywood's comedy king who was earlier most recognised for his action based roles has now ventured into a completely diversified field of interest catering to offbeat themes. After promoting toilets with his last release 'Toilet- Ek Prem Katha', Akshay Kumar is all ready to encourage menstrual hygiene with 'Padman'.

Produced by the 50-year-old actor's wife and renowned columnist, Twinkle Khanna, the film has piqued the curiosity levels of the eager fans with the interesting posters. Earlier, Akshay's cyclist avatar was loved by the audience which then persuaded him to become a superhero and now the Padman is Madman in the film's new poster.

With the interesting caption reading, "#PadManTalks : Mad only become famous!", Akshay shared the new poster of the film where the actor is sporting a huge smile on his face while holding cotton in his hands with the backdrop of sanitary pads manufacturing plant.

Earlier, the real 'Padman' Arunachalam Muruganantham praised Akshay for portraying his character beautifully. The social entrepreneur also posted a while holding a clapperboard in front of Akshay. Following his tweet, Kumar also expressed his gratitude towards him for his contribution to menstrual hygiene.

Known as India's 'menstrual man' Arunachalam Muruganantham was a revolutionary social activist belonging to Tamil Nadu transformed the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. He made the eco-friendly napkins which were easy to carry for village-based women.

Apart from Akshay, the film has Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles. While Radhika will reportedly play Kumar's wife who inspired him to manufacture suitable feminine hygiene products, Sonam is reportedly a social activist who helped him in the implementation of his goal. The R Balki directorial is slated to hit the theatres on January 26, 2018.
