‘My Name Is Raga’ Trailer Out: Rahul Gandhi’s Biopic Unveils First Look

The makers of Rupesh Paul’s film titled ‘My Name is RaGa’ released the trailer of the same on Sunday.  The film chronicles the journey of Rahul Gandhi right from the time of Indira Gandhi’s assassination to his rise as the president of INC.

The makers have shown Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi as major characters in the 4 minute teaser.

The trailer throws light on Rahul’s own struggle of being ready to step into active politics. It shows a young Rahul disturbed by the assassination of his grandmother, Indira Gandhi and his father, Rajiv Gandhi, the filmmaker tries to dig deep into the fears and anxieties of Rahul.

Fighting personal demons and those in the Bharatiya Janata Party with Narendra Modi and Amit Shah lookalikes appearing in shots, Rahul finally becomes the people’s leader when Priyanka Gandhi becomes his support and leads him to take up the seat as the President of the Congress party.

A few days back, the first poster of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic was also released, in which, actor Vivek Oberoi is portraying the character of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s biopic titled as PM Narendra Modi.  

The film has been helmed by Malayalam director Rupesh Paul who is famous for his controversial films. My Name Is RaGa is not just about Rahul Gandhi but also about the controversies related to the first family of Indian politics. The film is expected to release in April in the midst of elections.
