Late singer Mohammed Rafi has changed the face of music with the wondrous melodies. Many of his iconic songs have been recreated over the years to share the legend's art with today's generation with little modifications. His famous track 'Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaye' has also joined the list.

The popular song from late actor Guru Dutt’s film 'Pyaasa' is being recreated for the Kunal Kapoor-starrer Noblemen. Helmed by Vandana Kataria, Noblemen is centred around bullying in schools and will also feature actor Ali Haji.

The recreated version of the track by Yoodle Films will be crooned by Suraj Jagan whereas Shri Sriram and KC Loy will compose the iconic piece. The latter has also penned the lyrics for renewed version. The makers are looking forward to giving the classic a modern but relevant twist.

Siddharth Anand Kumar, Vice President, Saregama stated, "We are very happy with the final outcome." Kataria added, "It’s an iconic song and seemed to fit our film and the present times very aptly. It’s darker in its theme, has fast instrumentation, the lyrics have been changed to suit the film."

"Guru Dutt’s classic song has a timeless quality to it. It is emblematic of the sheer worthlessness of times we inhabit - one that resonates with the situation the protagonists face in the film," he further opined.

'Noblemen' revolves around a 15-year-old boy, struggling with his adolescent years, terrorised by a gang of bullies in a posh boarding school, setting forth a chain of events that lead to loss of life and innocence.
