The magnum opus 2.0, starring superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has long been in the waiting, and on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday, the first teaser of the film was finally released. After multiple delays, the film finally readies for release on November 29, and is the most expensive movie made in the history of Indian cinema with a mammoth budget of Rs 543 crore and 3,000 technicians working on it.

The teaser confirms that while 2.0 is a sequel to the superhit 2010 Tamil movie Endhiran (Robot) starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai, it has an entirely different premise. While in Robot, Chitti the robot turns against his maker Dr Vaseegaran (both roles played by Rajinikanth), in 2.0 Chitti returns to aid Dr Vaseegaran in saving the world from the menace of 'Crowman' Dr Richard played by Akshay Kumar.

The 2.0 teaser begins with odd happenings, massive number of crows gathering around a tower, mobile phones being snatched into the air and a giant crow swooping over the city. To combat the strange power, Dr Vaseegaran says to a council, "This is beyond science, for this we need a superpower... Chitti the robot."

As a one man army, Chitti swoops in to save the world.
