Kavi Kumar Azaad Aka Dr Hathi Of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' Passes Away

Actor Kavi Kumar Azad died on Monday after a massive cardiac arrest. The 46-year-old actor played the role of Dr Hansraj Hathi in one of the most popular TV shows 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' aired on SAB TV.

Ravi Hirwani,  the centre head of Wockhardt Hospital at Mira Road told mediapersons that the actor was brought dead by his brother and a few more people to the hospital around midnight.

The comedy actor was suffering from respiratory diseases.

The show creator Asit Kumar Modi said the shooting of the show for Monday was cancelled after the news of the actor's demise. Modi said, "We as a team are yet to discuss the upcoming episodes and his replacement. We weren't expecting this."

"He was an amazing actor and a very positive person. He truly loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning saying that he is not well and will not be able to come for the shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything," Modi added.  

Recently Kavi was seen celebrating 2500 episodes of the show.
