Rajputi fringe organisation Karni Sena has been protesting against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat for more than a year now while accusing the celebrated filmmaker of distorting historical facts and showcasing the community in bad light.

After creating an uproar with their unprecedented protests and demanding a complete ban on the film, the fringe group has now admitted that Padmaavat glorifies the valour of Rajput community and doesn't feature any objectionable dream sequence between Rani Padmini and tyrant ruler Alauddin Khilji.

The group has now decided to withdraw the protests against the film as, "There is no such objectionable scene between Delhi Sultanate ruler Alauddin Khilji and Queen Padmini of Mewar which hurts the sentiments of Rajputs."

Karni Sena's Mumbai leader Yogendra Singh Katar confirmed that few members of the group watched the film on the directions of the organisation’s national president Sukhdev Singh on Friday and conveyed that the film glorifies the valour and sacrifice of Rajput.

The organisation now believes that every Rajput should be proud of watching Padmaavat and have further promised of helping the administration in releasing the film across the nation including the states which refrained from screening the film due to the terror that was flaking around in protest of the film.

Following many protests and controversies, the Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer film was released on January 25. Ever since hitting the theatres, the film has been garnering praises from the viewers and critics for the eye-popping picturisation of the story.
