Sensational Vocalist Kanika Kapoor Booked For Duping An Event Manager

Popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, renowned for crooning the song 'Baby Doll' featuring Sunny Leone from Ragini MMS 2 has landed herself in the legal trouble. The vocalist was booked for allegedly duping a Noida based event management firm.

An FIR was lodged against the sensation singer by the Aligarh police under the criminal charges of cheating and intimidation. The complainant Manoj Sharma claimed that Kanika was scheduled to perform at an exhibition in Aligarh on January 22 but she didn't show up.

Kanika and her manager, both were booked for conning the event manager who allegedly had paid the singer Rs 24.95 lakh including flight and hotel stay facilities beforehand and when he asked for the return of payment, the singer refused straightforwardly.

An Aligarh Police station's officer confirmed, "Kanika Kapoor along with her manager, Shruti, and the manager of Mumbai based event management company, Santosh Mijger, were booked under section 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 507 (criminal intimidation)."

Apart from the case of cheating, Sharma has decided to file a defamation suit against Kanika and her manager for backing out of the show at last minute due to which his Event management company's reputation was degraded.

Kanika Kapoor shot to fame after lending her voice to Sunny Leone's hit number, following which she has given a number of super hit songs including Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan (Roy), Lovely (Happy New Year), Beat Pe Booty (A Flying Jatt) among others.
