Comedy legend Govinda's new film FryDay co-starring Varun Sharma had initially been scheduled to release on May 11, but was delayed to May 25 and now has been delayed once again, this time to October 12, media reported on Monday.

Considering the brilliance of Govinda and Varun Sharma in the comedy genre, the film is expected to be a laugh riot. The poster also suggests the same. In the poster, Govinda can be seen making an impromptu slingshot with a tube which he aims off of the head of Varun Sharma who is all dressed up in a formal shirt and tie.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the new poster of the film along with its new release date on Twitter and said, "Govinda and Varun Sharma... #FryDay to release on 12 Oct 2018... Directed by Abhishek Dogra".

Directed by Abhishek Dogra, Fryday is expected to be a comedy of errors and comes with a tagline 'ab jhoot bhi bikega' (now lies will also be sole). Varun Sharma in a statement introduced Govinda as his 'jiju' (brother-in-law).

Abhishek Dogra had previously directed the Sonam Kapoor and Pulkit Samrat starrer Dolly Ki Doli which also featured Varun Sharma.

Govinda was seen in Kill Dill and Happy Ending in 2014. He also made a special appearance in Akshay Kumar starrer Holiday in the same year. Govinda also starred in Aa Gaya Hero last year, but the movie proved to be a box-office disaster.

Varun Sharma is not a new name to the comedy, famous for playing ‘Chucha’ in Fukrey franchise. Though he was not in the lead role of the film but with astute comic timing, he made himself the main attraction of ‘Fukrey Returns’.
