Gold First Song Naino Se Baandhi, A Utopian Number

The first song of Akshay Kumar starrer Gold was released on Friday. The movie is gearing up for an Independence Day release.

The movie marks the debut of Mouni Roy, who is playing the role of Akshay Kumar's wife in the film. The slow-paced song 'Naino Ne Baandhi' features Akshay and Mouni. The song is sung by Yasser Desai and written by Arko.

The video showcases pure love and innocence between the married couple and brings out the depth of their relationship. The video begins with Akshay and Mouni inside a studio posing as the Mughals.

In the video we see Akshay buying gajra (garland) for Mouni in a market. The song builds in crescendo as does Akshay and Mouni's romance.

The movie is set in the pre-independence era, Akshay plays the role of Tapan Das, a young assistant manager whose goal is to win India's first gold medal in hockey as an independent nation. The movie is shot across the  UK and in Patiala.

The trailer of Gold was unveiled recently and garnered a roaring response from the audience with more than 32 million views in less than four days.   


Starring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold promises power packed performances by an ensemble cast.

Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of free India’s first gold medal at the 1948 Olympics, August 15, 2018. It will clash with John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate
