First Look Revealed Of Prem R Soni Directorial 'Ganit', Filming To Take Place In Varanasi

The first look poster of Prem R Soni directorial venture Ganit was released on Sunday, while the film is expected to begin filming by the end of the year in Varanasi to release by June 2019. Soni has previously directed Bollywood films Ishkq in Paris and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first look poster in a tweet, and said, "Here's the first look poster of #Ganit... Will begin filming by the end of the year in Varanasi, capturing the winter and the look and feel of the place... Directed by Prem R Soni... June 2019 release."

Ganit is being made in collaboration with Virender Arora and Ishwar Kapoor and comes with the tagline "Karmon ka lekha ya hathon ki rekha hai Ganit”.

In a statement to media regarding the film, Soni expressed that Ganit is inspired by a true incident and is special to him personally.

“I take immense pleasure in expressing my gratitude and happiness to share the first look of Ganit. I am humbled to collaborate with Virender Arora and Ishwar Kapoor who have backed content-driven films that have been making a difference and carrying a social message through the medium of movies like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Rustom, PadMan, Pari, and Fanney Khan,” said Soni.

“Movies that are surrounded by a social message that can change the world to become a better place is special. Ganit is one such story that is inspired by a true incident and very special to me. I have been living with this story since the beginning of my career and always wanted this to be my first film,” he said.

“We will be filming by the end of this year capturing the winter and the look and feel of the spiritual land in India, Varanasi. Aiming at a release in June 2019, I am looking forward to our association with Virender Arora and Ishwar Kapoor along with Kashish Khan production and Purplebull entertainment that will take the legacy ahead of backing content-driven films with a heartwarming message,” director Soni said.
