We have two mega releases this Friday, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Sui Dhaaga’ and ‘Pataakha’ starring Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra and TV actor Radhika Madan.

Both the films are of the same genre that is, comedy-drama. But each one carries a different flavour for the particular set of audience.

Sui Dhaaga- Made In India

The film is directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films.

The movie supports the concept of 'Make in India' campaign that was launched by the government of India in 2014. It tells the story of an ordinary man Varun Dhawan as Mauji who does extraordinary things that are both inspiring and heartwarming, while Anushka Sharma as Mamta caters to Mauji's parents. As Mauji gets insulted for the small jobs he does, Mamta encourages him to start his own business.

The duo set out independently to launch a tailoring business, following on the lines of Mauji's grandfather. Beginning from a single sewing machine on the road, the couple builds up a massive factory. The troubles are not over though, as they protest against the 'Made In China' marks put on their clothes to increase sales and call for a 'Made In India' symbol instead.

Varun and Anushka look charming together as a middle-class couple that fight to get from unemployed to self-employed. The trailer of Sui Dhaga had already floored the audience with its desi feel and honest performances by both the actors.

‘Sui Dhaaga’ challenge before the release of the movie had also kept the film in focus among the audience.

The songs of the film are composed by Anu Malik while lyrics are written by Varun  Grover.

Coming from the Vishal Bhardwaj camp, ‘Pataakha’ is a story of two sisters Radhika Madan as Badki and Sanya Malhotra as Chhutki who are born to the same mother but are each other’s biggest enemy.

The constant war between the siblings has haunted their lives, right from learning to walk to searching for husbands. When they eventually meet their soulmates, they are relieved to know that they will finally be free of each other. But as fate would have it, it seems, that they can’t live with or without each other.
