Emraan Hashmi Reveals Logo Of 'Cheat India', Based On Crimes In Indian Education System

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi turns co-producer with his next film 'Cheat India' which is based on education scams in India. On Monday, Emraan revealed the logo for Cheat India, along with a tagline, 'Nakal Mein Hi Akal Hai' (there is smartness only in copying), asking the public whether they agree.

Emraan shared a teaser poster on Twitter, which along with the logo, tagline and question said "stay tuned to find out" which hints that more details of the film Cheat India may be coming soon.

"The edge-of-the-seat drama will take a startling look at the crimes in the Indian education system which has created a parallel ecosystem infested with a mafia of sorts. I am sure that every student and youth will hugely relate to the subject," Emraan had said while announcing the film.

The shooting for the movie Cheat India, commenced in Lucknow on July 25 and will feature Emraan Hashmi along with actress Shreya Dhanwanthary, who has appeared in several leading web series and in various TV commercials.

Emraan Hashmi has described his role as a landmark one in his career, and said, "The script and title of Cheat India are supremely powerful. This is among the most engaging and riveting stories I've read in a while and I am thrilled to be essaying what I believe will be a landmark role in my filmography. I am also looking forward to working with some formidable partners — Soumik, an amazing storyteller."

The film will be directed by Soumik Sen, who has previously written the screenplay for films such as 'Anthony Kaun Hai?' and 'Meerabai Not Out'.

This will be the second time after Tumhari Sulu, Ellipsis Entertainment and T-series have teamed up again. Cheat India is slated to release on January 25 and will clash with Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 at the silver screen.
