The CBI started an inquiry against Anurag Kashyap films, sun tv, ufo movies and other unknown people for financial irregularities.

The inquiry started after Information and Broadcasting Ministry filed the complaint against National Film Development Corporation (NDFC) blaming them for making excess payment to Anurag Kashyap and other film directors.

Anurag Kashyap denied every allegation made by I&B ministry against him and said he didn’t even know about any investigation started by CBI. He took to his Twitter account and shared:

NDFC had been in the controversy earlier too when its managing director, Nina Lath Gupta was fired for allegedly supporting sun tv networks in February when Information And broadcast ministry was headed by Smriti Irani.

However, the ministry dropped the charges against her when Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore replaced Smriti Irani in November 2014.

CBI has asked NDFC to provide certain documents to help the investigation process.

The inquiry is still in its initial stage. FIR would be lodged against suspected companies and accused only after CBI would find any evidence in favour of these allegations.
