Bollywood Stands Unite And Awaits The Return Of India’s Brave Son Abhinandan

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced that the Indian Air Force pilot will be released on Friday and returned to the country as a “gesture of peace”.

As people across the country wait for the return of India's Braveheart, Bollywood celebrities have also started taking to social media in anticipation.

Amitabh Bachan took to Twitter to salute the brave and courageous IAF pilot 

Filmmaker-producer Karan Johar also expressed his patriotism and tweeted, “We salute your bravery and valour....we applaud your strength in the face of adversity....#WelcomeHomeAbhinandan."

 

Actor Emraan Hashmi, who was last seen in Why Cheat India, applauded Abhinandan Varthaman's strength and tweeted, “Everyone awaits your return. Proud of you sir !!  Salutes to the brave son of India #WelcomeHomeAbhinandan."

Veteran actor Anupam Kher thanked Abhinandan Varthaman, on behalf of the whole nation, for his courage and bravery on Twitter. He penned an elaborate heartfelt post for the IAF pilot.

According to reports, Abhinandan Varthaman had shot down the Pakistani Air Force's F-16 fighter jet before his MiG-21 Bison was hit on Wednesday.

People have flocked to the Wagah border to welcome the braveheart home. Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said, "The Indian pilot will be released on Friday afternoon, as assured by (Pakistan) Prime Minister Imran Khan on the floor of the house."
