Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was on Thursday, facilitated with the Smita Patil Memorial Award by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal for best actress at Priyadarshni Academy 34th Anniversary Global Awards, in Mumbai.

In ten years of her Bollywood career, Anushka has been able to make her mark ever since she made her debut in 'Rab Ne Bnadi Jodi' in 2008 and has earned many awards to her name.

Addressing the media at the 34th edition of the Priyadarshini Academy Global Awards 2018 on Wednesday, Anushka said: "It's a special day for me because I completed 10 years in the industry on this day. So receiving this award validates the choices that I made in my career."

She further added, "I also want to thank all the writers who wrote amazing roles for me and the directors who envisioned me in those roles. I don't think any actor's career is complete without the contribution of these two people.

"I want to thank every supporter of mine all over the world who supported me and accepted me for who I am."

Like always Anushka looked stunning in green Chanderi saree featuring gold dots and a thick border, which she carried with poise. The look reminisces us back to her reception when she donned the red Sabyasachi Saree.

These days Anushka is busy promoting her upcoming film 'Sui Dhaga' which is slated to release on September 28. Sui Dhaga is inspired by the Make In India campaign that was launched by the government of India in 2014, which aims to promote Indian Indigenous Industries.
