Akshay Kumar Opens About Working With 5 Actress In 'Mangal Mission' Says He Is Not Ashamed

Akshay Kumar is one superstar who is always busy with back to back hits movies every year. The actor has also ranked ahead of Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the Forbes Celebrity India 100 list.

In this year itself, he had PadMan, Gold, Robot 2.0 released, which did a good business at the box office. 

However, this time his fans are going to witness him among 5 actresses in his next venture mission mangal. He spoke about being the only hero working with a talented bunch of performers and he feels lucky to have got an opportunity to work with them.

Akshay’s film has five incredible actresses including Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, among others.

When asked about being uneasy or hesitant about working with not one but 5 heroines in a movie the actor said, "That script demands the women be ahead of us. They are the real heroes of the mission. Mission Mangal is interesting and inspiring. I’ve no shame in doing a movie that is led by women."

"At this stage, I don’t have to think much about my screen time. Whenever people approach me, I just see if my role is making an impact. If it does, and I have dates, I do it."

Khiladi of Bollywood also cleared the air about doing just a cameo in the film he said, "It’s not a special appearance, but a full-fledged role. So, it’s a six-hero film. We are currently shooting it and will release it on Independence Day."

Talking about 5 actresses working together Kumar said, "I’m happy that these girls are not bothered about the fact that there are five female leads in the same film. That ‘Main Kyu Karu’ attitude isn’t there. I don’t think five heroes will come together for a movie like this. When I approached these actresses, they were happy with their respective roles."

Akshay will also start work on Good News with Kareena Kapoor Khan and has been shooting for Dharma Productions’ Kesari too.
