Ajay Devgn's Rom Com 'De De Pyaar De' Gets A New Release Date, Know Why

| February 2 , 2019 , 14:13 IST

The release of Ajay Devgn’s romantic comedy De De Pyaar De has been postponed in order to avoid a subsequent clash at the box office with his upcoming film Total Dhamaal.

The film was scheduled to release on March 15 but now has been pushed to May 17. This decision was taken as Total Dhamaal hits the screens on February 22. They felt a gap of merely 20 days between two big films of the star was not a good decision.

The revised date of March 15 is a clean one with no other major competition at the box office.

"De De Pyaar De" is a romantic comedy co-produced by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali. It also features Rakul Preet Singh and tabu in pivotal roles.

"Total Dhamaal" stars Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film will be jointly produced by Inder Kumar along with Ashok Thakeria and Ajay Devgn. The second film was "Double Dhamaal". It is directed by Inder Kumar.

On the professional front, Ajay Devgn would be producing Turram Khan which is supposed to star Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha. He is currently busy filming the climax of the highly anticipated Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Rakul Preet would next be seen in Marjaavaan opposite Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. She would also be seen in Tamil movies Dev, NGK, SK 14 and Telugu movie Venky Mama.
