Reacting publicly to actress Tanushree Dutta’s allegations for the first time, actor Nana Patekar on Saturday said, "A lie is a lie."

Last week on Tuesday Dutta had alleged that she was harassed by Nana Patekar on the sets of 2009 film Horn 'Ok' Pleassss.

Dutta in an interview said that her fight against Patekar is a 'war' and not just for her own sake.

After the allegations of Dutta, on September 28, Patekar's lawyer sends a legal notice to Dutta and demanded to apologise for accusing Patekar of harassing.

However, Dutta said, “I have not received any notice. These threats are put so that others like me would be scared to come forward. Anyone with a similar experience who comes forward should not worry about these kinds of intimidation tactics. The whole nation will support them".

In an interview, Dutta said. "Everyone knows about Nana Patekar that he has always been disrespectful towards women. People in the industry know about his background... that he has beaten actresses, he has molested them, his behaviour with women has always been crude but no publication has printed anything about it."

Tanushree Dutta's debut film was Aashiq Banaya Apne in 2005, co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Sonu Sood. Since then, she has starred in films like Dhol, Good Boy, Bad Boy and Apartment in 2010, which was her last onscreen appearance.
