The entire team of Shoojit Sircar's forthcoming film 'October' has been taking the film's promotion quite seriously. With only a few days remaining for the venture's release, the marketing team is not leaving any stone unturned to create a buzz for the film among the masses.

After visiting various reality shows and participating in live events, the leading actors reached a Mumbai five-star hotel and surprised the journalists and hotel employees with a special feast. Special because the October stars prepared the meals themselves.

Varun Dhawan aka Dan and Banita Sandhu aka Shiuli of October cooked meals, baked cakes and did laundry at Holiday Inn in Mumbai. Notably, that's the role that both the actors are playing in Shoojit's directorial, i.e., of hotel staff members whose life get tangled while working together.

Clad in a white shirt and blue jeans coupled with a chef's hat, a dapper looking Varun took over the kitchen and chopped the vegetables whereas the glamorous Banita helped him in preparing yummy treats for the waiting people. Their talented director also accompanied the two on the trip.

The surprising tour was organised to provide the fans who are eagerly waiting for the film's release to have a sneak peek into Varun and Banita's characters. The team hosted a grand lunch at the hotel and served the present guests with their own hands.

Varun posted a collage of pictures from his 'feast day' to social media and wrote, "My day today #OctoberFeast." October's producer Ronnie Lahiri had earlier praised Varun for his trust in Sircar and said, "Varun was ready to completely surrender himself to the film. He never asked for the entire script and trusted Shoojit."

Dhawan has given various commercial hits in the past but he craves to become an actor more than a hero. At least, that is what Ronnie believes. He affirmed, "Varun trusting a director who doesn’t do his kind of cinema showed his hunger for good roles. I think Varun wants to be an actor more than a star."

Written by Juhi Chaturvedi, the unusual and unconventional slice-of-life story also features Rohit Sukhwani and Pragya Shrivastava. Based on the director Shoojit Sircar's inspiration from the newspaper clipping, the film shot within the time span of 38 days will release on April 13.
