The men in blue started their stint in ICC U-19 World Cup 2018 with a string of victories and rose a hope in the hearts of Indian cricket lovers of bringing the trophy home. After beating the likes of Australia, Papua New Guinea and Zimbabwe, Team India has topped Group B.

For reaching a step closer to the finals, Team India will now lock horns with Bangladesh in quarter-finals at Queenstown Events Centre, New Zealand on Friday. While India reached the stage by thrashing Papua New Guinea by 10-wickets, Bangladesh's qualification was tricky.

To qualify from Group C, Bangladesh was dependent on the match between England and Canada, which the former lost allowing the qualifiers to move forward and take over their virtual position. Despite India's high-end performance throughout the tournament, they'll need to back their back.

Notably, India has already endured a shameful defeat against Bangladesh during the Asia Cup in Kuala Lumpur last November. However, skipper Prithvi Shaw's presence in the ongoing tournament can turn the table this time in favour of the Indian team.

In the past matches, India's left-arm spinner Anukul Roy has proved his Mattel by taking a considerable amount of wickets while skipper Shaw and Shubman Gill have done wonders with the bat. Although, India's batting capacity is yet to be explored fully.

Indian bowling squad also consist fast-bowlers Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti but injured pacer Ishan Porel's comeback is also anticipated. The rival team also has highly-rated bowlers in form of medium pacer Hasan Mahmud and off-spinner Afif Hossain, which could worry the Indian batsmen.
