India has posted a mammoth score of 392/4 against Sri Lanka in the second One-day International being played at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali today.

Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front scoring a double hundred. At the end of 50 overs India scored 392 runs losing just 4 wickets. Rohit’s individual score was 208 (not out) in 153 balls thanks to 12 sixes and 13 boundaries. He got to the landmark double ton in 151 balls when he stole two runs after nudging a full length delivery off his counterpart Thisara Perera in the final over of the innings. Rohit Sharma is the only player to score three double tons. His second century came in just 35 balls.

Rohit had great first wicket partnership of 115 runs with Shikhar Dhawan and then 213 runs partnership for the second wicket with Shreyas Iyer. While Dhawan’s individual score was 68 runs off 67 balls, Iyer scored 88 runs of 70 balls. This was Iyer’s maiden half century.

Sri Lanka had won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Lankan squad remained unchanged while India replaced Kuldeep Yadav with Washington Sundar. This is Sundar’s debut match for India.

In the second innings, Sri Lanka was only able to score 251 runs and India won the match by 141. It won't be wrong to say that Men in Blue took their revenge for last match's loss. Both the teams are now equal on the scoreboard by winning one match each in the series. The final and third match on Sunday at Visakhapatnam will determine which team will emerge as the winner.
