The eleventh season of Indian Premier League has come to an end with Chennai Super Kings' astounding victory over SunRisers Hyderabad in the finals. While the men in yellow emerged as champions, many unsung heroes have broken multiple records in the tournament this year.

More than 30 records were broken in the 51 days cricket festival by players who were not credited enough for their contribution in their respective teams. We have gathered some historic moments from IPL 2018 to remember the record-breaking performances by players.

Fastest-ever IPL fifty - KL Rahul

Kings XI Punjab's wicketkeeper-batsman Kannanur Lokesh Rahul smashed the fastest-ever fifty in IPL history off 14 balls against Delhi Daredevils in the second match of IPL 2018 surpassing the previous record which was jointly held by Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine for hitting a half century off 15 balls.

Youngest wicket-taker - Mujeeb Zadran

Playing for Kings XI Punjab, 17-year-old Afghan spinner Mujeeb Zadran became youngest player and wicket-taker to feature in IPL surpassing Sarfaraz Khan. He had dismissed Colin Munro off his third-ever delivery while taking the field against Delhi Daredevils on April 8.

Highest-Ever IPL Scorer - Rishabh Pant

Delhi Daredevils' wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant smashed 128*(63) against SunRisers Hyderabad on May 10 to record the highest-ever score by an Indian in the history of Indian Premier League overtaking Murali Vijay who had slammed 127(56) against Rajasthan Royals in 2010.

Youngest cricketer at 100 T20s - Rashid Khan

SunRisers Hyderabad's all-rounder Rashid Khan became the youngest cricketer to reach 100 T20s. Aged 19, the Afghan player achieved the mark against Delhi Daredevils on May 5. He was awarded Man of the Match during the same game. He had become the youngest to take 100 T20 wickets in 2017.

Maximum IPL centuries - Chris Gayle

Known for his aggressive streak, Kings XI Punjab opener Chris Gayle smashed the first hundred of the Indian Premier League 2018 off 58 balls against SunRisers Hyderabad on April 19 extending his record for the most centuries in the Indian Premier League to six.

Most run-scoring Captain - MS Dhoni

Surpassing Gautam Gambhir, Chennai Super Kings' MS Dhoni became the most run-scoring captain in the IPL during his knock of 51*(22) against Delhi Daredevils on April 30. The 22-ball half-century was Dhoni's second-fastest IPL half-century.

First Nepalese Player in IPL - Sandeep Lamichhane

Delhi Daredevils' spinner Sandeep Lamichhane on May 12 became the first cricketer from Nepal to play in the IPL. Aged 17 years and 283 days, the Nepalese is the second youngest overseas player to take a wicket in the IPL.
