Happy Birthday Sourav Ganguly: Prince Of Kolkata Turns 46

Former Indian Captain and cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly turns 46 on Sunday.

One of the finest captains in the cricketing world, Ganguly was also known as 'Dada', he was considered as one of best player of off-side in the world, as off drive remains his trademark shot.

Veteran Cricketer Rahul Dravid while describing Ganguly said, "On the offside, first there is God, then Sourav Ganguly."

Sourav is presently in England, commentating in on-going India's tour to England. Fans from all across the globe wished Ganguly. Dada received a special wish from his former teammate Virender Sehwag, who is known for his comical wishes.

Sehwag addressing images of Ganguly, wrote on Twitter, “Step 1-Wake up, blink your eyes twice & dance down the track. Step 2-Smash the bowler & at times even spectators(no violence intended). Step 3-Swing not only the ball but also ur hair, bowl ur heart out. Step 4-Celebrate like no one’s watching. To a wonderful man, #HappyBirthdayDada”  

BCCI also went on to wish the legend through its official Twitter account. The association wrote, 'Wishing former India Captain @SGanguly99 a very Happy Birthday'!

Looking at his records Dada made his dream debut scoring a century at the Lord's in 1996, the 'Prince of Kolkata' went on to become the 3rd highest run scorer overall for India with 18,575 runs. Ganguly also holds the record for scoring India's highest individual score, 183 at the World Cups. The destructive left-handed batsman captained Team India in 49 Tests and 147 ODIs. His Test record as captain on foreign soil is still the best in terms of stats in Indian cricket.
