Australia vice-captain David Warner was involved in a heated off-field exchange with South African wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock in Durban on Sunday. The fiery altercation took place at the time on the fourth day of the first Test against South Africa.

The heated exchange took place after Australia took their first wicket of the day dismissing AB de Villiers. The players were making their way towards allotted dressing room when enraged Warner launched himself at De Kock.

The leaked CCTV footage showcases the players moving up the stairs but some tension is evident as many keep looking behind. That's when Warner makes his appearance, Usman Khawaja was trying to usher him towards the dressing room but he was having none of it.

Australian vice-captain confronts De Kock but skipper Steve Smith's intervention saves the day. The latter takes Warner to his dressing room whereas the wicketkeeper squeezes past him to enter his own dressing room.

South Africa team manager Mohammed Moosajee said, "It's rather unfortunate that the incident took place and certainly not in the spirit of the game. The match referee has spoken to us after the day's play. We will await any further communication from the ICC around this incident."

De Kock batted 83 runs on Monday and was seen shaking hands with Warner after the match had ended. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is yet to comment on the issue or a charge against Australia spinner Lyon for dropping the ball onto a prone De Villiers after he was run out before lunch on Sunday.
