Riding on an all-rounder performance here at the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) Barsapara Stadium on Tuesday, the Australian team registered their first win against India in ongoing T20 International.

Australia broke India's playing order with pacer Jason Behrendorff's 4/21 and leg-spinner Adam Zampa's 2/19,  although Rohit did make a brief glorious moment in the field, giving hope to the batting order, he was also sent back to the pavilion by Behrendorff after a mere score of 8 runs off 4 balls.

Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya too stayed on the field long enough to give a combined 52 runs to the team but that was all the team had for the day. Even captain Viral Kohli didn't stand in the pitch for long as he hit the ball back into Behrendorff's hands on the very second serve.

On the other hand, while captain David Warner and opener Aaron Finch couldn't set a good start for the team giving off the ball into Kohli's hand, second in line, Moises Henriques and Travis Head drove the team to a victory with their spectacular 62 and 48 runs.

The victory levels the teams at 1-1 in the three-match T20 international Australia is visiting India to play. The match was also the first international match in seven years to have been played in the city.

This victory also comes as a breather for the Australian team after a scattering 4-1 defeat in the earlier One Day International (ODI) played between the teams on this very tour.
