Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi is on its way of establishing a monopoly in Indian smartphone market. Given the speed at which the brand is capturing the customers' interest, it won't be long when most of the middle-range handset buyers will be in their pocket.

The recent achievement of the company is enough to prove the theory. While India is in a festive mood, the Chinese mobile maker is the one which is cashing in on the Diwali sales on the e-commerce platforms.

Thanks to the massive amount of discount and schemes offered by the online giants, Flipkart and Amazon India, Xiaomi was able to sell over 1 million of its smartphones in mere two days. The company has shared some figures while claiming to have sold over 300 smartphones every minute.

In comparison to last year sales of the company where 1 million smartphones were sold in 18 days, this year's performance is praise-worthy. Xiaomi India said, "This achievement marks an industry first, and is a key milestone for Xiaomi India."

Redmi Note 4 which is claimed to be the brand's most loved smartphone stays put on its number one spot in the sales as well. In Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale, the smartphone was the highest selling smartphone as per the company.

Xiaomi has also claimed that eight out of every nine smartphones sold in the Amazon sales belonged to the giant. The statistics prove that the brand held the top spot in both the online sales so far.

In the aggressive match between Flipkart and Amazon, where both were offering thriving discounts on the products to beat each other, it seems Xiaomi has gained the most profit.
