Uttarakhand Investors Summit: PM Modi Says, India Has Best Business Environment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking at the introductory Uttarakhand two day investor’s summit on Sunday has said that we have improved tax system and business environment in the country.

“We have improved the tax system in the country. We are trying to make the tax system more swift and transparent. Doing business has become easier due to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code,” PM Modi said.

PM Modi also said that banking system has got strengthened.

“Potential, policy and performance, these are the sources of progress,” he added.

PM Modi appealed the industrial sector to invest in Uttrakhand for better business opportunity.

PM Modi was invited by the Uttrakhand government to inaugrate the investors summit. Top businessman have attended the summit.

At least 1,500 personnel was deployed under the supervison of 40 police top officials for the security of PM Modi.

Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, KJ Alphons and CR Chaudhary has also participated in the summit.

In order to attract more investors in the state, Uttarakhand government have been conducting roadshows since July in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi.
