SBI Customers Update Mobile No. By November Else Internet Banking Facility Will Be Blocked

If you are State Bank of India (SBI) customer and use their Intenet banking facility then you have one and a half month left to get your mobile number registered with the bank to continue using the facility, media reported on Sunday.

The SBI customers need to register their mobile number with the bank by November 30, 2018, else their Internet banking facility will be blocked with effect from December 1, 2018.

SBI on its website said, “Attention INB users, please register your mobile number with us immediately, if not already done, through Branch, failing which the Internet Banking facility may be blocked with effect from 01.12.2018.”

"OnlineSBI is the Internet banking portal for State Bank of India. The portal provides anywhere, anytime, online access to accounts for State Bank's Retail and Corporate customers. The infrastructure supports unified, secure access to banking services for accounts in over 25,000 branches across India," the SBI website reads.

Previously, on October 1, the SBI had reduced the ATM cash withdrawal limit, citing it as a measure to reduce fraud and to encourage cashless transaction.

The SBI has reduced the limit from Rs 40,000 to Rs 20,000 for classic and maestro cards.
