Tata Motors on Tuesday launched a more powerful variant of its sports utility vehicle Safari Storme, powered by a new engine, at a starting price of Rs 13.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The all new Safari Storme, which comes with a new 2.2 litre Varicor 400 engine, is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 drive options, priced at Rs 13.25 lakh and Rs 14.59 lakh, respectively.
The new variant comes with enhanced power and a new six-speed manual gearbox with a self-adjusting clutch for better performance.

New Safari Storme VX is a refined vehicle, delivering a performance of 0 – 100 km/hr in less than 13 seconds. The new VARICOR 400 engine, turbocharged with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology), delivers 156 PS power & 400 Nm torque, providing easy drivability, swifter response and lower NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), with fuel efficiency at 13.9 kmpl as per ARAI. The 4X4 variant also features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4X4 or 4X2 mode on the move.
