Mercedes-Benz, known to be one of the much aspired luxury auto brand, has launched the newest edition of the E-class.
The company has launched two variants of the E-class edition, E200 and E350d. The E200 variant is priced at Rs 56.15 lakh, while, E350d vairant will cost you Rs 69.47 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).

German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz launched on Tuesday the newest edition of the E-Class at Rs 56.15 lakh for the E200 variant and Rs 69.47 lakh for the E350d variant (ex-showroom Mumbai).
A long-wheelbase version of the E-Class has been launched directly by the German automaker in India, after the huge success enjoyed by the E-Class in past. Reportedly, the E-Class of Mercedes-Benz has grabbed 34% of the sales in India earlier.

However, E-Class version was developed for markets like China, but the automaker has bought it to India. Most importantly this edition is not an imported version, but it is being rolled out of the Chakan plant near Pune.
Both the newly launched in two variants of the E-Class edition comes with a 2-litre petrol or 3-litre diesel engine, mated to a 9G-tronic gearbox.

At the launch, Mercedes-Benz India MD Roland Folger said, “India is a chauffeur-driven country. When we initially came with a shorter wheelbase, we realised there’s demand for a longer version too. So the decision to launch the longer wheelbase car was a no-brainer.”
How the new edition is different from old outgoing version?
The new E-Class edition sedan is 185mm longer than the older version, which has increased its wheelbase by 205mm, making it more spacious.
Features like Reclining seats which can be adjusted from the chauffeur's end, 64 shades of ambient lighting and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a 13-speaker, 590 watt Burmester music system, makes the car more attractive and distinguished.
Additionally, a panoramic sunroof giving you pleasure of an S-Class is something which will compel its buyers to grab this new edition.
The carmaker also introduced two “Star Ease” service packages starting at Rs 64,700 for petrol variant for and Rs 94,400 for diesel variant for a period of two years.
As far as safety is concerned, the all new E-Class comes with an advance safety feature like park assist, 360-degree aerial-view cameras, parking sensors and seven airbags.
The E350d version can also be raised by up to 25mm, thanks to adaptive suspension system with variable damping.
This new edition E-Class Mercedes-Benz will be tough competition for Jaguar XF starting at Rs 47.5 lakh, the BMW 5-series at Rs 50.50 lakh, the Audi A6 at Rs 53.75 lakh and the new Volvo S90 at Rs 53.50 lakh.
