Market: Sensex Falls To 36,424 Points, Nifty Plunges To 10,966 Points

As shares value of the numerous companies has been declining on a regular basis amid loss in global markets, the Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex was recorded at 36,424.50 points and National Stock Exchange Nifty50 was recorded at 10,966.05 points on Wednesday.

With a number of companies opened in red, the Sensex was down by 101.64 points with 0.28 percent decline and Nifty50 was down by 42.25 points with 0.38 percent decline.

The top losers at the Nifty50 were Eicher Motors Limited, Bharti Infratel Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, UPL limited and Grasim Industries Limited.

Similarly, at the Sensex, the top losers were Tata Consultancy services, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

On the other hand, the Yes Bank shares rose by 6.11 percent at Rs 213.50 per share, DCM Shriram Industries shares rose by 9.17 percent to Rs 178 per share, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS group) companies IL&FS Transportation Network shares rose by 19.85 percent to Rs 32.30, Hathway Cable and Datacom Ltd shares rose by 9.8 percent to Rs 27.80 per share and Reliance shares rose by 0.06 percent to Rs 1,232.25 per share.

Recently the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved the appointment of new directors at IL&FS group. The new directors include Uday Kotak as non-executive chairman.
