After a long wait, Jaguar Land Rover India has finally announced the local manufacturing of the news Jaguar XF with an overall price revision of the variants of the car. The locally manufactured Jaguar XF diesel variant now starts at Rs 47.50 Lakh and goes up to 60.5 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
While, the petrol variant starts from ₹ 52.50 lakh (three lakh cheaper than before) and goes up to 59.50 lakh.
In September 2016, the company launched the new XF for the first and at that time it was priced at ₹ 49.50 lakh and so the base variant of the diesel is now ₹ 2 lakh cheaper.
The all new locally manufactured Jaguar XF will be available in India in three variants- Purse, Prestige and Portfolio. All these variants will come in both petrol as well as diesel guises.
The petrol variants comes with the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline motor that produces 237bhp power and develops a peak torque of 340Nm. While, the all-new 2.0-litre diesel engine produces power of 177bhp and develops a peak torque of 430Nm. Moreover, both the petrol and diesel engines come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

The introduction of the all-new Jaguar XF into our locally manufactured portfolio reiterates our commitment to the Indian market."
The all new Jaguar XF uses new lightweight aluminium architecture which contributes towards a weight saving of up to 190 kg over the previous generation XF. The new-gen XF is 7mm shorter and 3mm lower than its previous version, while the wheel base has increased by 51mm.
Additionally, the legroom and the knee room is also increased by 15mm and 24mm respectively. Making the car more spacious the company has also increased headroom by 27mm at the rear. The weight distribution in the car too is 50:50, which Jaguar says, has the ideal balance between ride and handling.
As far as interiors of the car is concerned, the new-gen XF bears a 12.3-inch fully TFT instrument cluster, a laser HUD and a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-colour ambient lighting, 4-zone climate control.
Moreover, the car is also equipped with a host of connectivity options, including a smartphone app which can be used to start the engine, switch on the AC amongst other things.
