Honor Launches 'View 20' Today, Brings 48MP Camera, Time Of Flight Sensor At Rs 37,999

Honor India hosted an event in Gurgaon on Tuesday to officially debut its flagship smartphone, Honor View 20 in the market.

The smartphone was first launched in China in December last year, followed by a global launch in China earlier this month.

The latest Honor phone comes with a 'hole-punch' selfie camera. Honor has also provided a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor along with a time of flight (ToF) sensor at the back of the Honor View 20.

Specifications

The new smartphone is powered by Huawei's flagship-grade HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC that is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. The Honor View 20 also sports an Aurora Nanotexture pattern at the back that forms a V-shaped design when light reflects on the surface.

It supports 960fps slow-motion video recording, autofocus, AI HDR, and LED flash. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

The Honor View 20 sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD IPS (1080 x 2310 pixels resolution) display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.82 percent screen-to-body ratio and 96 percent NTSC Color Gamut.

In the camera department, we see that the View 20 has 48 MP Sony IMX586 1/2-inch CMOS sensor (0.8 µm/pixel) with Quad-Bayer array that allows pixel binning. On the front, we see the in-display camera which has 25 MP sensor with fixed focus.

The device is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charge support and runs Android Pie 9.0 with Magic UI 2.0 on top.

The view 20 has been priced at Rs 37,999 for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is a higher variant as well with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which has been priced at Rs 45,999.

The state Smartphone will go on sale on Amazon India and Honor's website starting Wednesday, January 30 at 12 pm. The flagship will also be available offline via Reliance Digital in February.

Customers who have pre-booked the View 20 by paying Rs 1,000 will also get a free pair of Honor Bluetooth earphones worth Rs 2,999.
