Budget 2018-19 Allocates 9000 Crores Rupees To Northern Railway

The Northern Railway has been dispensed Rs 9,000 crore in the budget plan 2018-2019 to modernize its whole flagging framework by grasping the world's most progressive innovation to embrace the Indian railways.

For the year 2018-2019, the expense is Rs 565 crore. Extra subsidizes will be discharged every year as indicated by the necessity.

Headquartered in New Delhi, the northern zone traverses 6,807 kilometre in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh and the Union regions of Delhi and Chandigarh. 

Rs 398 crore has been reserved for supplanting old mechanical motioning with electronic interlocking at 53 stations in the district. 

The Northern Railway has been given Rs 10 crore for giving Wi-Fi at 25 'B' class stations. Rs 154 crore from the Nirbhaya Fund has been reserved for introducing CCTV cameras in 4,038 mentors of premium trains (Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto). 

Rs 365 crore has been put aside for video reconnaissance frameworks at 1,589 stations in the northern area. 

The zone has likewise been given Rs 1,900 crore for new lines over its system.
