TVS Motor Company launched a special edition model of its RTR 160 on Saturday, and this bike is named as the 'Race Edition'.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition is priced at Rs 1,000 more than the standard RTR 160 and will be available in two variants. The single disc variant is priced at Rs 79,715 and the variant with discs at front and rear is priced at Rs  82,044.

The bike gets a white paint-job with red stripes on the fuel tank, the front mudguard and the rear body panel near the grab-rail. There is also a new badge on the fuel tank but this bike is not a limited edition model.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 Race Edition continues with the same 159.7cc single-cylinder, the two-valve engine which churns out 15.1PS at 8,500rpm and 13Nm of peak torque at around 6,500rpm. The motor takes charge from a carburetor type fuel system and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.

The Bike is built on a double cradle Synchro STIFF chassis and promises a sporty and dynamic handling. The bike features front telescopic forks, gas charged twin shock absorbers at the rear, alloy wheels and a front petal disc brake as standard, while you can go for the rear disc brake variant for an additional cost.

TVS launched the Apache RTR 160 4V last month and the bike is priced at Rs. 81,490 for the carburetted version. The all-new Apache RTR 160 looks quite aggressive compared to the previous generation Apache. With more power and sharp styling, the all-new Apache will make for a much sensible choice than the special edition Apache 160.

However, if you want to feel special and stand out on the road, the special edition colours will surely help you to get noticed.
